lance armstrong looked into the cameras and denied doping. but in a two and a half hour interview with oprah.the disgraced cyclist now reportedly admits to using performance-enhancing drugs. >> i would say he did not come clean in the manner that i expected. it was surprising to me. i would say that for myself, my team, all of us in the room, we were mesmerized and riveted by some of his answers. >> reporter: oprah talked about her exclusive sit down with armstrong on morning tv. >> i would say there were a couple of times when he was emotional. >> reporter: no longer trying to out-pedal doping allegations, armstrong is in a race to save his public image. he's been stripped of his seven tour de france titles and is banned from competing in cycling for life. armstrong has also apologized to the staff at livestrong - a cancer organization he founded. but critics wonder.if this public apology is just an attempt to allow him to compete competitively again. armstrong's interview with oprah winfrey will air in two parts beginning thursday night on own. vicki liviakis kron 4 news. >> cat
